The office of the Grays Harbor County Treasurer will be closed on Friday, May 22, 2009.  This will be the first in a series of monthly one day closures between now and the end of the year.  In announcing the closure today, the Treasurer was optimistic these unpaid furlough days will allow his office to meet required budget reductions. 

Our goal is to schedule these closure days to minimize the impact on the public. The following schedule is provided to allow individuals with time sensitive transactions – such as real estate sale closings – to schedule those transactions to avoid the closure date.

Other than the noted furlough closure dates, current plans are to maintain the office hours 8:00 a.m.  – 5:00 p.m.   Some lunch hour closures may have to be imposed when staff shortages become too severe.
