Grays Harbor County
Cannabis Land Use Task Force
The Board of County Commissioners formed the Grays Harbor County Cannabis Land Use Task Force in July 2013 in response to the need to clarify county land use regulations relating to state law governing marijuana production, processing, and retailing for medical and recreational use. The Commissioners have asked this Task Force to provide them with a recommendation as to what changes, if any, are necessary.
The Task Force consists of thirteen members representing a wide range of community interests. They include:

- Curt Crites, Planning Division
- Mike Ferry, Building Division
- Frank Gordon, County Commissioner
- Jim Harrison, citizen
- Dan Meldrich, citizen
- Ron Mullins, citizen
- Jeff Nelson, Environmental Health Division
- Carolyn Perry, citizen
- Dave Pimentel, Sheriff’s Department
- Tammy Ramsay, citizen
- Gary Randall, Planning Commission
- Wes Cormier, County Commissioner
John Kliem of Creative Community Solutions will be facilitating the Task Force.
The Task Force has three meetings planned in Montesano: July 31, August 7, and August 14, 2013. Additional meetings may be necessary. The latter end of August is the expected timeframe for the Task Force to issue its recommendation.
The purpose of this web page is to keep the community informed on the work of the Task Force. We will post any materials used or produced by the Task Force on the Documents Page.
