The County Board of Commissioners have enacted critical area protection regulations for areas in unincorporated Grays Harbor County (areas outside of incorporated city and town limits). The purpose of the regulations is to protect and preserve:
Wetland Areas
Fish and Wildlife Habitat
Frequently Flooded Areas
Geologically Hazardous Areas
Critical Aquifer Recharge Areas
Critical Protection Areas and the Planning Process
Development proposals are screened to ensure that critical resource areas are protected in accordance with the rules at Title 18.06 of the Grays Harbor County Code.
