The Grays Harbor County Law Library is located in the lobby of the Sheriff's Office building. Pursuant to RCW 27.24.010, Grays Harbor County is required to have and maintain a public law library. The importance of the law library has increased significantly due to an increase in the number of persons representing themselves in court.

The library currently shelves various reference materials relating to Washington state law.  Additionally, there is a public access computer terminal with links to multiple legal research resources, as well as links to state and local law and justice-related information and forms.

The Superior Court Administrator also serves as the county librarian. The law librarian is available to assist with reference questions, but cannot conduct research for litigants/members of the public.

The Law Library Board of Trustees meet quarterly at noon on the following dates below. To join a meeting, please use Zoom Link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/48Jus78552564 or Meeting ID: 487 855 2564

Revised Code of Washington (RCW)
The Revised Code of Washington (RCW) is the compilation of all permanent laws now in force. It is a collection of Session Laws (enacted by the Legislature, and signed by the Governor, or enacted via the initiative process), arranged by topic, with amendments added and repealed laws removed. It does not include temporary laws such as appropriations acts.

Washington Administrative Code (WAC)
Regulations of executive branch agencies are issued by authority of statutes. Like legislation and the Constitution, regulations are a source of primary law in Washington State. The WAC codifies the regulations and arranges them by subject or agency.
