Provides grant support and assistance to County departments; conducts grant research; prepares grant applications and related documentation; secures and administers the Countys grant funding; monitors and maintains compliance with grant funding and reporting requirements; and performs other related duties as assigned.
Coordinates and performs a variety of technical functions involving the preparation, negotiation, monitoring and administration of Federal, State, and local grants.
Conducts grant research; identifies grant funding opportunities available to the County; determines grant eligibility requirements.
Monitors and ensures the Countys compliance with applicable grant funding and reporting requirements.
Writes and submits grant applications in accordance with County policy and internal process requirements; prepares and maintains a variety of grant documentation.
Assist County departments fiscal team in developing grant billing processes
Provides grant related information to County departments and provides assistance in preparing grant budgets.
Coordinates and conducts a variety of special projects as assigned.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Principles and practices of grant administration.
Regulations and requirements governing the administration of grant funding.
Federal, state and local grant funding resources.
Grant application processes and documentation.
Providing grant support to County departments.
Coordinating and performing a variety of highly technical grant administration functions.
Researching, applying for and securing Federal, State and local grants.
Preparing and maintaining grant applications, reports, and related documentation.
Monitoring and ensuring the Countys compliance with grant funding and reporting requirements.
Establishing and maintaining effective working relations with County staff, outside agencies and community organizations.
Communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Public Administration, Grant Management or closely related field. Grant-related professional experience (federal, state and foundation grants, proposal writing, management). Prefer three (3) or more years of grant related experience.
Excellent proficiency with EXCEL software. Demonstrated ability to use other commonly available analytic tools, database programs and grant research programs.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form.
Valid Washington State Drivers license.
